Orucase saw a 20:1 return on ad-spend
Orucase is a bicycle luggage company started by a pro-cyclist who got tired of traveling with huge bike boxes that airlines charge hundreds of dollars extra to fly with.
Their solution? A compact case that flies without fees, and can fit under a bed.
I planned for each scene of this ad to depict something that matters to a traveling cyclist. And it was a hit, with a 20:1 return on ad-spend.
Ending farmer facelessness
Farmers are a small group who are geographically isolated, and otherwise often enjoy spending time hanging out with other farmers, and going to farm events. The result is a huge social disconnect between consumers and the people who feed them.
The New York Animal Agriculture Coalition wanted to resolve that, and hired me to produce a series of videos to give people an idea of who farmers are, but also update the narrative of what modern agriculture looks like.
My work for NYAAC also included a mini-documentary spanning technological advancements in agriculture over the past century, from horse-drawn plows to GPS guided tractors. This film was part of a public education series that was screened around New York State.
Capture beauty in everyday moments
Pets and people aren’t here forever, but videos are a powerful way to help you remember the special moments you shared. This video is from Flynn’s last walk to the park.
And have fun
I don’t own any pets or children, but I do own a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. It has accompanied me through all of the continental United States, and served as an RV, farm vehicle, and moving truck. And at this point, I know probably half of the torque specs by heart. This summer I felt like it deserved a tribute.
So why work with me?
I’m fortunate to have had a pretty unconventional and diverse range of experiences: I’ve cooked in a youth corrections facility, worked as an EMT in a busy emergency department, written for a fresh produce trade magazine, milked cows, produced boutique bicycle events, and registered low-income New Yorkers for public assistance, among other things.
Along the way, I’ve spent time with people from all walks of life, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes them tick. You can put anybody in front of me and my camera, and trust that they’ll feel comfortable and understood.
My priority will always be understanding your audience, and developing a narrative that speaks to them. A well-told story is rooted in appreciation for everybody involved.
